Nick Clement’s “Revival”

A while back I was invited to the private view of photographer Nick Clement’s exhibition at the Royal College of Art.

I have worked with Nick on numerous photographic projects (Barbour, Triumph motorcycles, Franklin and Marshall…), as well as editorial shoots for his own magazine “Men’s File”. Mostly of what I shot with Nick has been re-enactment based or retro-inspired, resulting in an authentic documentary style of photography which is signature to Nick’s work.

Titled “Revival”, the exhibition included a large selection of Nick’s photographs taken over the past 3 years, a lot of which are re-enactments of various periods, together with photographic studies of diverse subjects spanning from American varsity wear/fraternity houses to Spartacus. There were also various vintage and recreated fashion items that you can inspect as well as a classic motorcycle from Royal Enfield.

The private view has a buzzy atmosphere and there were quite a few old style bikers too! Outside the venue were parked lots of vintage motorcycles.

The gift bags for this event was amazing! Contained inside a custom made canvas and leather bag from Lewis Leathers were various goodies from Barbour, Eastman Leather, Urban Hunter.
